ABOUT Christi:

Christi Costigan, founder of EquineLogic and Equine Logic School of Horses, contributes over twenty years of literary study, field study and experiential learning to the evolution of animal behavior science.

1995 Christi certified with the American Riding Instructor Certification Association. 2001-2004 Christi was voted volunteer president of a Group Member Organization of the United States Dressage Federation (USDF-GMO) – Dancing Horse Dressage & Combined Training, Indian River, Florida. Christi volunteered as Treasurer for North Carolina Arabian Horse Association early 1990’s. Currently Christi is a member of the North Carolina Horse Council and North Carolina Dressage and Combined Training.

Christi’s education and study includes but not limited to Dr. Gerd Heuschmann, Dr. Hillary Clayton, Carolyn Resnick, Frank Bell, Chris Erwin, Dr. Max Gahwyler, Carol Brett, Cindy Sydnor, Jean White, Eicke von Veltheim, Karen Rolf, Parelli-just to name a few of her favorites. Christi advocates natural hoof care as well as ‘Paddock Paradise’ as sustainable horse and environment friendly horse keeping. The practical advantages of this type of learning is through the better understanding of the behavior and physical needs of your horse that you can do a better job at a wide spectrum of things including choices and usage of appropriate tack, preventative & holistic health and hoof care, confidence building for the horse and riding skills as a team with your horse.

The history of Equine Logic begins with a very non assuming bay Arabian gelding named Wistdom Masada. He was bred from greatness yet at the tender age of five years old and no fault of his own ended up a slaughter house sale. Only he didn’t end up there. As fate would have it he was bought by a man who attended the sale weekly to pick up horses for his string of hacks. He owned and operated a stable the rented horses for trail riding. At the time he purchased the Arabian horse, there was a girl, Christi, that worked at the stable who longed for her own horse. Do you see where this went?  Wistdom, who passed in 2009 at twenty-six years young, was the best, first horse anyone could hope for.

After purchasing Wistdom, Christi thought she knew all there was to know about horses-however; she soon realized she didn’t have a clue. She spent the rest of her life searching for the clues-which brings us to Equine Logic.org.
